Now we celebrate dog Geo, who sensed something was wrong and saved a life

No friend is as faithful and affectionate as a dog.

Byron, a 25-year-old from Gloucester, England, owes his life to his dog, Geo. After a painful breakup, Byron fell into deep depression and turned to alcohol. One day, overwhelmed by despair, he made a noose and wrote a farewell letter to his family, ready to end his life.

However, Geo, his six-year-old Welsh bullmastiff, sensed something was wrong. While Byron was downstairs, Geo grabbed the noose and refused to let go, even growling to prevent Byron from retrieving it. When Geo finally released the rope, it was in tatters.

Byron credits Geo with saving his life, recognizing the dog’s uncanny sense of his intentions. This intervention prompted Byron to seek help and work on his mental health.

Years later, Geo was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor and given only days to live. Byron did everything he could to make Geo’s final days special. Though Geo has passed, Byron remains eternally grateful for the gift of life his loyal companion gave him.

Please share Byron and Geo’s story if it touched your heart!
