New photos of President Trump with his grandchildren Spencer and Chloe in Scotland are generating widespread attention

Official Business and Family Moments

President Trump’s recent trip to Scotland mixed official duties with personal time. While he attended meetings and ribbon-cuttings, unexpected family photos captured online attention most.

Donald Trump Jr. shared fresh images on Instagram on July 27, 2025, showing the president enjoying quiet moments with his grandchildren, Spencer and Chloe. The setting? The scenic Trump Turnberry golf resort.

A Heartwarming Scene on the Golf Course

In the photos, Trump smiles warmly with Spencer and Chloe. They wear matching dark jackets, the grandchildren sporting beanies, while Trump wears a face cap. Behind them, a lighthouse and the sea add to the peaceful backdrop.

Donald Trump Jr. captioned the post:
“Amazing couple of days @trumpturnberryscotland with @realdonaldtrump, Spencer, Chloe and @bettina_anderson. Grateful to make these incredible memories with my little Smurfs.”

More Than Just Family Time

During the five-day trip, Trump also opened a new Trump-branded golf course in Balmedie, Scotland’s northern coast. Alongside his sons Eric and Donald Jr., he cut the ribbon and praised the project as a “labor of love,” led by Eric.

Meetings and Memories

The visit included a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Turnberry. Trump reflected on his Scottish roots, sharing, “My mother loved Scotland… It’s different when your mother was born here.” His mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, hailed from the Isle of Lewis.

Trump also discussed a framework for a U.S.–EU trade deal, though golf and family remained the main focus.

A Rare, Relaxed Glimpse

Despite the official schedule, it was the simple family photos that resonated most online. They showed a rare side of Trump—smiling, relaxed, and just a grandfather enjoying time with his grandchildren on the Scottish coast.
