A mystery young girl who was spotted at the Women’s 2025 Euros Final with Prince William had gone viral on social media – and everyone wants to know who she is.

The Prince of Wales attended the nail-biting match in Bazel, Switzerland, on Sunday (27 July) with his 10-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.

The father-daughter duo put on a series of animated facial expressions, along with the rest of the country, as they watched the 1-1 game turn into a penalty shootout.

William and Charlotte looked elated as they watched Chloe Kelly score the winner, with the stadium erupting into cheers as the Lionesses won the tournament for the second time in a row.

Due to his role as patron of the Football Association, William then got to congratulate the Lionesses and shake the players’ hands, as well as coach Sarina Wiegman.

However, there was someone else who seemed to take the spotlight – a young girl who was by his side for the ceremony, also shaking hands with the players.

Football fans all have the same question after the historic game – who was the young girl with Prince William?

She looked absolutely over the moon to be there and could barely contain her excitement as she got to interact with the football stars.

Naturally, people watching live have rushed to social media to find out who she is and comment on how enthusiastic she was.

One X Twitter user wrote: “The little girl from the #Euro2025 Foundation, stood next to Prince William during the medal ceremony is killing me. Bless her man, fully trying to cut him out of the handshake proceedings.”

A second chimed in with: “She was fabulous, totally the most thrilled person ever to be there!”

Meanwhile, a third added: “I’ve no idea who she was or who or what she was representing (but I’m guessing social inclusion) but it was really great to see that young girl on the podium last night in the line up with the dignitaries, shaking hands with all the players at the Women’s Euros Final. Fantastic.”

And another user replied with: “Indeed. I had to laugh at the insistent handshaking over the top of Prince William. He was very gracious about it. She didn’t stop smiling though did she? Clearly very glad to be there!”

“That girl jumping in front of Prince William to get the handshakes, huge move, she has my respect,” joked another.

While others simply questioned who she was, writing: “Who is that girl on the podium next to Prince William?” and “Who was the young girl on the podium next to Prince William at the Euros?”

Well, while we still don’t know who she is, we do know that judging by her shirt, she was likely representing the UEFA Foundation for Children.

For those who are unfamiliar, the foundation ‘defends the rights of underprivileged children by using the power of football to improve their lives and to help them develop their potential and find their place in the community’.

So, it looks like she could be one of the young people who receives support from the organisation, and one thing is definitely clear – she’s a huge footie fan.
