Mystery deepens as Minneapolis sh0.ter’s mother disappears

The Minneapolis school sh**ting that left two children dead and 18 others wounded has taken another unsettling turn as authorities admit they have been unable to locate the mother of suspected g*nman Robin Westman, 23.

Mother missing after a**ack

Police confirmed on Thursday that they have “not been successful in talking to the sh**ter’s mother,” raising questions about the whereabouts of Mary Westman, a former employee at Annunciation Catholic Church, the very place where the ma**acre unfolded.

Mary worked at the church until her retirement in 2021, and local reports said she was left in shock when told her child was the suspect. Robin, previously known as Robert, legally changed names in 2019 with Mary’s support, writing in court papers that the change reflected “identifying as a woman.” Robin also attended the school and graduated in 2017, according to a yearbook.

Neighbor Stephen Jeglosky recalled a graduation celebration about two years ago, when the family invited him to take photos. He remembered music, kids running around and parents drinking. “They seemed like a great family… I guess you never know who somebody is,” he said.

Sh**ter’s troubled writings

As police search for answers, chilling details continue to emerge about Westman’s state of mind.

In a manifesto and a series of videos posted online before the a**ack, the shooter wrote about being “tired of being trans,” struggling with identity, and feeling “brainwashed.” Westman also claimed to be “d**ng of can**r” from vaping, calling it a “tragic end” of their own making.

The writings described a plan to cut their hair on the day of the a**ack, confessed to a long-standing obsession with school sh**ters, and included both disdain for President Trump and mockery of the Church.

One entry read: “I only keep [the long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I wish I never brain-washed myself.” Another added: “I know I am not a woman but I definitely don’t feel like a man.”

Westman also posted disturbing footage showing off weapons marked with phrases such as “For the children” and the names of past mass sh**ters. A final letter to family and friends claimed health problems from vaping and declared an intent to “go out on my own means.”

A family in the shadows

Court records show Robin was the youngest of three children. Mary and her former husband Jim divorced in 2013, and the family lived for a time in Hastings, Minnesota. Friends and neighbors say they never suspected anything so dark could unfold.

The manifesto, signed “Robin M Westman, 2002–2025” and marked with a bird drawing, underscored the shooter’s long-standing fascination with mass ki**ings.

But with the g*nman d**d and the mother unreachable, authorities are still piecing together how a quiet neighborhood family became linked to one of the most harrowing tragedies Minneapolis has ever faced.
