Life took a sudden, emphatic twist for 7-year-old Thylane Blondeau when a photo of her propelled her to viral fame 10 years ago. The picture was published on the cover of Vogue Enfants and Thylane became known as the most beautiful girl in the world.
Thylane was born on April 5, 2001, in Aix-en Provence, France. Her father is a former soccer star named Patrick Blondeau. Her mother is Véronika Loubry, a french actress and television personality.
Already as a little girl, Thylane embarked on a modeling career, and she was successful from the start. As a 4-year-old, she walked on the Jean Paul Gaultier runway.
A couple of years later, she landed her first significant model jobs when she appeared in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Juicy Couture.
But after that famous cover of Vogue Enfants, her career took off. Thylane was immediately referred to as ‘the most beautiful girl in the world,’ according to Fashion Magazine. She also topped the coveted list of 100 Most Beautiful Faces; however, some people thought the picture was ‘too sexual.
A decade later, the 21-year now has close to three million followers on Instagram alone, while she boasts modeling contracts with Juicy Couture, L’Oreal Paris, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Taking advantage of her famous photo turning 10 years old, Blondeau decided to share her own version of the ’10-Year Challenge’, an internet fad wherein people share two photos of themselves – one from 2009 and one from 2019.
The reaction? Well, it should come as no surprise that people are fawning over her yet again.
In an interview with French magazine L’Officiel last year, Blondeau said: ”Firstly: I do not consider myself the most beautiful girl in the world! When I was little, people always told me. But I did not even understand what they meant. Because who says that? Who says I am the most beautiful?”
”I can not do anything with it. I can not do anything about how I look. This is who I am. Fortunately, I have a number of lovely people around me with whom I am very close.
”In addition, I am very shy. You probably noticed that already.
”I am very normal, though! At least, I experience my life as normal. I live in southern France. And I have my friends here. Just like my peers.”
Today, in 2022, Thylane has turned 21. Even though she’s still very young, she can reflect on a successful career already. Considered one of the shortest models in the world, with a height of 5’6″, she has founded her own clothing companies (Heaven May) and (No Smile Clothing).
She has a contract with IMG Models and still does modeling jobs, but in 2021 she received some sad news. In 2021, Thylane felt that something wasn’t right in her stomach.
”This year I saw three different gynecologists, I’ve seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and all of them said the same thing, ‘don’t worry U have nothing it’s all in your head’,” she said according to Daily Mirror.
Finally, the doctors found an ovarian cyst. Thylane then underwent surgery and it was successful.
“Today I’m finally feeling better I’m finally feeling free I really thought I was crazy for complaining about my stomach for so long. Happy that I’ve never gave up,” she shared.
