In a now-deleted username, a Reddit mom deployed in the military with her husband said she needed assistance to tend to her newborn. The couple thought a nanny would be of great help and hired one.

For the first few weeks of her son’s birth until the next six months, the Original Poster (OP) had a less than a great experience with a babysitter who faced issues with scheduling and payment.

The woman quit, leaving the couple in a hurry to find a substitute. That’s when their neighbor’s 20-year-old daughter volunteered to help them.

Over time, OP’s kids loved their new nanny. The woman’s kind gestures treated the mom with an explosion of good thoughts about her, but she missed some of the red flags.

The babysitter often volunteered to help OP even when not asked. Having trusted her nanny completely, OP once shared her difficulty with lactating and how she often relied on donor milk for her baby. Moved by the mom’s confession, the nanny sympathized with her, pressing OP for more details. The mom got carried away and revealed more information without thinking twice.
