Michelle Obama and Malia Shine on Miami Beach
Michelle Obama and her eldest daughter, Malia, turned heads during a weekend getaway to Miami Beach. The pair were spotted on Saturday walking along the sand, accompanied by friends, including former Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett, and Secret Service personnel.
Stylish Beach Look
Michelle, 53, sported a white bikini top paired with high-waisted white denim cut-off shorts. She went barefoot, holding her shoes in hand, and layered a long white blouse over her swimsuit. Her accessories included a bandanna and large hoop earrings. Malia kept it casual in a tan hoodie over her bikini top, with black bottoms visible. She carried her white sneakers in one hand and her iPhone, charger, and a book in the other.
A Relaxed Mother-Daughter Outing
The outing appeared to be a girl’s trip, as former President Barack Obama was not present. Both Michelle and Malia seemed relaxed and content, enjoying the sunny beach atmosphere.

Dinner at Prime 112
Later, the duo left their hotel for dinner at the celeb-favorite Prime 112 steakhouse. Malia wore a black-and-white patterned romper and beamed as she stepped outside the restaurant. Michelle swapped her beachwear for flowing high-waisted trousers, a neutral green tank, and a long blue cardigan. She completed the look with layered chains and a black purse with a long strap.
Sasha’s Absence
Sasha Obama was notably absent, sparking speculation about her weekend plans. Last year, she was in Miami Beach with Joe Biden’s daughter and another friend, an outing that received wide coverage.
Harvard Break and Family Time
Malia is currently on break from Harvard University. The Obamas recently spent Christmas together in Hawaii. Harvard’s spring term starts on January 22, and Malia is expected to return soon. Former President Obama reflected on Malia’s early days at Harvard during a recent Netflix interview with David Letterman, admitting he was emotional when he first dropped her off.
