Man who ate almost 1,000 eggs in one month reveals the shocking changes to his body

Another day, another story of a fitness fanatic trying out a wild diet to see what kind of results it leads to.

When it comes to food and fitness, a lot of people have got everything perfectly planned and are just comfortably making moves to their health and body goals…

But the rest of us can’t help but be sucked in by these rather odd trends and diets that take a look at what happens to the human body when you, well, do something unexpected.

That is what fitness enthusiast and content creator Joseph Everett was determined to find out.

Yeah... that is just a touch too many eggs for me (What I've Learned/YouTube)Yeah... that is just a touch too many eggs for me (What I've Learned/YouTube)

Everett, who lives in Tokyo, Japan, decided to ditch his regular diet for one that consisted of eggs, quite a whole lot of eggs. In just a month, he managed to get through a whopping 900 eggs.

In fact, in a YouTube video detailing his journey, he said he was getting through around 30 eggs a day.

Thankfully he was adding in a few other foods. In the video he said: “A typical day of eating for me would usually be something like 30 eggs, a bowl of rice, a bit of beef, a bit of yogurt, some fruit, a bit of honey and maybe a protein bar.”

He explained that many of the eggs would be consumed in a smoothie with protein powder, and some fruits. So I guess that is one way to get them down a lot easier.

He also wanted to see if this diet would help improve his gym performance and overall increase his strength.

He started the experiment by measuring his starting weight and made a note of his performance of four exercises, barbell lifts, a deadlift, squats, and bench presses.

As well as this, he took blood tests before and after the month to measure other aspects of his health, namely his testosterone production and cholesterol levels.

So, what impact did it have on his body?

By the end of the experiment, he had gained an impressive 13lb of muscle mass from his starting weight of about 171 pounds. His lifts also seemed to improve, being able to lift up to 44lbs more than when he started.

He also saw a drop in a dangerous type of fat in the blood called triglycerides. In his blood there was no notable increase in ‘bad cholesterol’ but rather an increase in good cholesterol said to help remove the bad type from his blood.

While the experience wasn’t without its wobbles, Everett did say the change was relatively easy to make. So maybe you could give it a crack yourself – if you have the eggs that is.
