A Quiet Classroom
The classroom was unusually quiet as the teacher wrote a math problem on the board. She turned to face the students, adjusted her glasses, and smiled. “Alright, class, let’s see who’s been paying attention. If you had eleven dollars and I asked to borrow six, how much would you have left?”
Johnny’s Confident Response
Little Johnny, always quick with an answer, leaned back in his chair. “Eleven dollars,” he said confidently. The teacher raised an eyebrow. “Johnny, think carefully. If you have eleven dollars and I borrow six, how much do you have left?”
The Comedic Twist
Johnny didn’t hesitate. “Still eleven.” The teacher crossed her arms, trying not to smile. “And why is that, Johnny?”
With a smirk, Johnny shrugged. “Because just because you ask for a loan doesn’t mean I’m giving you the money!” The class burst into laughter.
A Proud Moment
A few students clapped, and even the teacher chuckled. She shook her head with a sigh. “Well, Johnny, your math isn’t right, but your financial instincts are sharp.” Johnny grinned proudly as his classmates whispered about his perfect comebacks.
A Mental Note
The teacher smiled and moved on, but mentally noted: If she ever needed a loan, Little Johnny was not the person to ask.
