Prince Louis Steals the Spotlight
As the UK marked 80 years since Victory in Europe Day on Monday (5 May), the royal family joined the commemorations. Once again, Prince Louis stole the show with his playful charm.
Balcony Appearance at Buckingham Palace
The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony. They watched a Red Arrows flyover ahead of the official VE Day on Thursday.
A Rainy Parade Moment
Later, during a military parade, Louis sat beside Prince William, who wore full military regalia. A sweet father-son exchange followed.
At one point, seven-year-old Louis wiped rain off his father’s jacket. William tapped Louis on the leg and, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling, said:
“Look at this, I think it’s going to be quite wet today.”
Louis, known for his sharp humor, reportedly replied:
“Wasn’t this supposed to be fun?”
William reassured him:
“It is, son. You’ll never forget this. It’s not going to be long, and I want you to be taking an interest.”

Princess Kate’s Sweet Whisper
Meanwhile, Princess Kate shared a tender moment with Charlotte, 10. She leaned in and whispered:
“Doesn’t Papa look smart today?”
Prince George Impresses Veterans
After the parade, Prince George, 11, joined his parents at a veterans’ tea party. There, he impressed guests with his thoughtful questions.
Samantha Davidson, granddaughter of 101-year-old D-Day veteran Alfred Littlefield, shared that George asked how old Littlefield was during his service. The veteran was reportedly “delighted” by the young royal’s curiosity.
A Touch of Sibling Fun
Despite the formal setting, George and Louis showed their playful side. A viral clip captured Louis teasing his older brother over a dramatic hair flick — a perfect moment of sibling mischief that warmed hearts online.
