Although her cause of death has not been confirmed, a recent fall led to hospitalization just a week before her passing. Despite these challenges, Leslie continued her work with remarkable strength, last appearing on the show in December 2023.

Born on February 22, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, Leslie’s path to fame began with early encouragement from her neighbor, the president of ABC. She started her career at 19, appearing in A Flame in the Wind in 1964, followed by a role in As the World Turns.
