Biden Questions Trump’s Second Term: “What the Hell’s Going On?”
Former U.S. President Joe Biden has openly reflected on Donald Trump’s second term, voicing concern with six sharp words: “What the hell’s going on?”
Trump Signs Wave of Executive Orders
Since returning to the White House as the 47th President, Trump has signed over 140 executive orders.
These moves include:
-
Imposing tariffs on multiple countries
-
Proposing to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America
-
Suggesting Canada could avoid tariffs by becoming the 51st cherished U.S. state
Trump hasn’t hidden his ambitions; he has repeatedly declared he’ll “get” Greenland one way or another.
Biden Speaks Out in BBC Interview
In his first interview since leaving office, Biden spoke candidly to the BBC:
“The way we talk now: ‘It’s the Gulf of America,’ ‘Maybe we’re going to have to take back Panama,’ ‘Maybe we need to acquire Greenland,’ ‘Maybe Canada should be a 51st state.’
What the hell’s going on here?”
He added, “What President ever talks like that? That’s not who we are. We’re about freedom, democracy, opportunity — not about confiscation.”
Canada and Mexico Push Back
Biden isn’t the only one challenging Trump’s moves.
-
Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum jokingly suggested renaming the U.S. to Mexican America.
-
Canada’s former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau firmly stated Canada joining the U.S. was “never going to happen.”
-
Newly appointed Canadian leader Mark Carney, after meeting Trump at the White House on May 6, reinforced:
“There are some places that are never for sale.
Having met with the owners of Canada during the campaign, it’s not for sale. Won’t be for sale, ever.”
