One woman was ready to start holiday baking when she ran into a problem. She bought a new set of Christmas cookie cutters but couldn’t figure out what one of the shapes was supposed to be.

Most seasonal sets come with a label or a little picture on the box to show what each cutter is. This one didn’t help at all. She turned it over, flipped it sideways, tried everything. Nothing made sense.

Finally, she gave up and posted about it online. She said: “This is driving me nuts. It’s from a Christmas set but I’m stumped.”

Plenty of people joined the conversation, tossing around ideas and trying to solve it. Some were serious, some were clearly just having fun.

But the mystery actually got people thinking hard. It had that weird shape that could be anything depending on how you looked at it.

Eventually, most folks seemed to agree it was probably a pile of presents or maybe a Christmas stocking, just a funky one.

And that’s where it landed. After all the guessing, turns out the cookie cutter was meant to be a stack of Christmas presents.
