If You Ever Notice Your Door Handle With A Rubber Band On It DO NOT Touch It

When we come home, our house should always make us feel safe and secure, without any danger.

It’s our safe place where we can rest after a long morning or afternoon.

Many people feel safest when they’re at home, so it’s important to make sure that safety is never affected when they’re there.

A lot of people put surveillance cameras on their property to protect their privacy and safety.

But even with these safety measures, thieves are still coming up with new ways to break into people’s homes without permission.

A woman from Texas named Kim Fleming Cernigliaro recently told a story to make people more aware of a new method thieves are using to get into homes.

When someone knocked on the door, Kim was home by herself. It sounded like the knocking had turned into a beating.

She was smart not to open the door because she wasn’t expecting anyone to come in.

Since the knocking kept getting louder, she got scared and chose to wait a while before going outside to see if anyone was still there.

When it looked like the person had left after some time, she went downstairs and opened the front door.

Then she saw a band of rubber on the door handle. She called the police right away to report the event, but she didn’t know what it meant.

As soon as the police arrived, they said that other people in the area had found rubber bands on their door knobs.

They explained the reason why thieves use this strange technique.

When a person answers the door and takes the latch off to open it, the rubber band stays in place.

Having this makes it easy for thieves to get inside the house.

The homeowner can’t close and lock the door because the rubber band keeps the latch open.

Kim is now determined to let other people know about this new strategy and tell them to be extra careful when opening the door for someone they don’t know.
