Ozzy Osbourne was captured on video cracking jokes and smiling in an incredibly sweet moment just under two weeks before his death.
The Black Sabbath frontman passed away ‘surrounded by love’ at his UK estate at the age of 76, his family announced yesterday (July 22).
It came just 17 days after his last performance on stage, as the original members of Black Sabbath got together to perform one last show for the first time in 20 years – although the singer’s appearance came amid ongoing health concerns.
In 2019, Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and was suffering with a series of other health conditions at the time of his death – although a cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
On July 9, Kelly Osbourne, one of the Brummie’s six kids, took to TikTok to share with fans that she had gotten engaged to her fiancé, Slipknot member Sid Wilson – having posted a viral video last year in which she revealed that his face had been singed following an explosion.

In the recording, Sharon Osbourne – who was sat next to her husband of 43 years – can be heard saying ‘you’ve got to be quiet, hold on’, before Wilson addresses their daughter.
In front of a crowd of people, which was later confirmed to be their friends and family, the 48-year-old said: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world…”
Osbourne then interjects, quipping: “F**k off you’re not marrying my daughter.”
As the audience erupted into laughter, Wilson continued: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends… Kelly, will you marry me?”
As he places the ring on her finger, Osbourne can be seen beaming in the background.
Confirming Osbourne’s sad passing yesterday, a statement from the singer’s family read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.
“We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
After Black Sabbath formed in 1968, Osbourne was at the forefront of the heavy metal scene – a deeper, darker offshoot of hard rock that took the world by storm in the 1960s and 1970s.
His theatrical stage presence, including once biting off the head of a bat and styling himself as the Prince of Darkness, marked him out as a controversial figure.
But his role in the reality show The Osbournes alongside Sharon, Kelly and Jack gained him even more global fame and admiration.
