Following King Charles’ coronation, the couple decided to officially use the surname Sussex for their children, Archie and Lili, despite their previous names being Mountbatten-Windsor. This came after both children were granted royal titles as Prince and Princess, following Queen Elizabeth’s passing. Recently, Meghan corrected Mindy Kaling for referring to her as Meghan Markle, saying, “I’m Sussex now” and explaining how meaningful it was to share a family name with her children.
