A Sister’s Role in a Wedding

As my brother Liam’s wedding approached, excitement buzzed in the air. Denise, his fiancée, asked me to be a bridesmaid. Not just because I was Liam’s sister, but because she saw me as her own. We had grown close. I helped plan the wedding while Liam seemed distracted.

The ceremony unfolded perfectly, just as Denise had dreamed. But then Liam interrupted the priest.

“I have something to show everyone,” he said. The screen flickered to life. Memories of laughter, kisses, vacations, and cozy nights filled the room. Hearts melted.

Then Liam pressed the remote again. A second video began. Shock rippled through the crowd. The footage showed Denise, in their home, wearing lingerie—intimately involved with another man.

The same man sat among the guests. Gasps echoed. Denise went pale.

“Liam, please,” she pleaded.

But he stood firm.

“I won’t marry someone who brings another man into our home,” he declared. And then he walked away from his own wedding.

After the Shocking Reveal

Denise chased him, crying. Later, I found Liam at the bar. He explained he had discovered the video by accident while preparing the montage.

“It wasn’t even in a locked folder,” he said bitterly.

He asked if he had gone too far by showing it publicly. I told him the truth hurt, but he deserved to know. We stayed at the bar, quietly supporting each other.

“Let’s go eat the wedding cake,” he said at last.

Meanwhile, another woman faced her own betrayal. Eliza’s husband, Tom, had forgotten their 10th anniversary—again. Tired of being neglected, she planned a weekend getaway with her best friend to the hotel he always promised they’d visit.
