From “Knots Landing” to now – the star’s life today.

Nicollette Sheridan: From Iconic Roles to Life Today

Nicollette Sheridan rose to fame as Paige Matheson on Knots Landing and later became a fan-favorite villain as Eddie Britt in Desperate Housewives. But few know about her tumultuous relationships and how she looks today. Let’s explore her journey.

Early Breakthrough: Knots Landing and Fame

Sheridan’s career took off when she joined Knots Landing in 1986, a spinoff of Dallas. She portrayed Paige Matheson, a complex character with both strong and mischievous traits. Sheridan’s portrayal earned her the 1990 Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Lead Actress, as well as a spot on People’s “50 Most Beautiful People” list.

Hollywood Beginnings

Born in England, Nicollette moved to the U.S. at age 10, where she grew up surrounded by Hollywood influences, including actress Sally Adams and actor Telly Savalas. Sheridan struggled with her strong English accent, later mastering an American one after years of practice.

Marriage Struggles and Public Feuds

Sheridan’s first marriage to actor Harry Hamlin ended after just 11 months in 1991. Public speculation about an affair with singer Michael Bolton followed, but Sheridan denied the claims. Despite this, she and Bolton had an on-and-off relationship for years, becoming engaged in 2006 before eventually breaking up in 2008.

Sheridan’s second marriage to Aaron Phypers also ended in divorce after only six months. Phypers later married Real Housewives star Denise Richards.

Professional Setbacks: Firing from Desperate Housewives

Sheridan’s time on Desperate Housewives ended abruptly when her character, Edie Britt, was killed off. She accused the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, of physical assault and filed a lawsuit, claiming abuse on set. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2017. Many fans still feel the show lost its spark after Edie’s departure.

A Step Back and Focus on Passion Projects

After her career setback, Sheridan focused on smaller projects, including Hallmark Channel movies and a 2017 Dynasty reboot. However, in 2019, she chose to leave the reboot after her character was killed off, prioritizing time with her sick mother over work.

Life Today

At 57, Nicollette Sheridan has stepped away from the limelight to focus on personal matters and passion projects. Her career may have had ups and downs, but she continues to inspire with her strength and resilience.
