More and more often, we are entering into blended families and people have learned how to make them work well. It isn’t always easy, however, especially if you have a demanding career and a house full of children.
Nobody knows this better than a former professional wrestler who is now a Fox News cohost, Tyrus. He has played many challenging parts in the past, but now he is talking about his most challenging, yet one that he considers to be the most rewarding. He is the father of six children.
Tyrus doesn’t always speak about his personal life but he recently pulled back the curtain, so to speak, and gave a glimpse behind the scenes. He shares how he balances what he needs between his TV career and being a parent.
Tyrus and his wife Ingrid Rinck had their kids along with them for the FOX Nation’s 2024 Patriot Awards at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on December 05, 2024. It was a rare glimpse at the family.
Tyrus and Ingrid share one child together, a daughter who was born in 2014. Tyrus has three children to previous relationships, including a son and two daughters. Ingrid has two older sons, and they form a blended family.
He said: “The reality of having children in that way is that you need to figure it out real quick, and you need to make a decision as to where you’re gonna man up and take on this responsibility. Now, all my children’s bellies are always full, they all have roofs over their heads, they all can [do] any activity they want to do.”
Many people are not very familiar with his wife, but he did write how they like to keep their private lives private but he still is interested in helping others with parenting values. He wrote about this in his book, saying: “Parenting is tough. We all know that. I always work hard to be the best dad I can be, but, of course, I fail sometimes. We all do. But we try as hard as we can.”
Something interesting about his biological children is the fact that they all are athletic, just like he is. His daughter, Georgie, started riding horses when she was young but she got serious about it in 2024.
He wrote on Instagram: “The biggest best part is her commitment to detail, determination, and dedication to her horse … as a father couldn’t be prouder and also sad my lil baby girl is growing up to be a strong young woman!!!! So proud so proud !!!!”
Georgie also plays soccer but she had a broken radius in 2024, which landed her on the sidelines.
Along with everything else that they do, the family helps to raise farm animals as they have relocated to New Jersey on a farm. Tyrus refers to it as the ‘Tyrus-zilla Zoo’.
He made sure that the children were ready to raise the animals before they moved, and animals were a big part of their lives when they lived in Louisiana.
Over the years, the children have been able to join Tyrus for different events. Sometimes this involves having a family photo taken, which helps us to see that everything is right in his world.
When you get right down to it, Tyrus and his wife are there for the children now and he has said specifically that he will always be there for them. He raises his kids to learn from their own mistakes, and undoubtedly they learn from the mistakes of others as well.
It’s nice to see that the family is doing well and we wish them many years of happiness.
