Four police officers decide to grab a meal after a long shift – what they discover on their receipt leaves them shocked

Four Louisiana police officers were on duty when hunger struck, prompting them to head to Outback Steakhouse for dinner.

Little did they know, upon entering, the manager and server noticed their uniforms and decided to send them a special message through their receipt. The restaurant staff at Outback Steakhouse wanted to express their gratitude to local law enforcement officers in a unique way.

The officers from Slidell Police Department are regulars at Outback Steakhouse, often enjoying meals there throughout the day. Manager Arline Wood

commended the officers, describing them as respectful and kind individuals.

During their visit, two employees decided to show appreciation to the officers who had just finished their shift. They covered the bill for the four officers dining that evening, totaling approximately $67. Server Zoe included a heartfelt note on the receipt, thanking the officers for their service.

The officers were deeply moved by this gesture and reciprocated with a generous tip. They shared a photo of the receipt on the Slidell PD Facebook page, receiving praise from the community.

Manager Arline expressed surprise at the media attention the act of kindness received, emphasizing that she simply wanted to thank the officers for their dedication.

Arline and Zoe hope their actions inspire others to express gratitude to law enforcement officers, especially during challenging times.

This simple act of kindness serves as a reminder of the importance of showing appreciation and respect to those who serve and protect our communities. Let’s hope more people follow their example and spread positivity in the world.
