Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Hospitalized Abroad After Injury During Official European Trip

Washington, D.C. – Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized after sustaining an injury while on an official visit to Luxembourg. Her office stated that the 84‑year‑old is “currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals.” reported euronews

Pelosi was traveling with a bipartisan congressional delegation marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge when the incident occurred. Her spokesman, Ian Krager, announced that she “sustained an injury during an official engagement” and has been admitted to hospital for evaluation.

While details of the injury have not been officially detailed, sources familiar with the matter say that Pelosi tripped and fell during an event and may have injured her hip or leg.

The delegation’s chair, Michael McCaul, tweeted that he was disappointed Pelosi would not be able to join the remainder of the events and expressed confidence that she would “be back on her feet in no time.”
