Concern Spreads Across Social Media
A wave of concern swept through social media after videos surfaced claiming that former Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase, best known for his role in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, was seen struggling with homelessness in Los Angeles.
The 36-year-old actor, once a familiar face on the beloved early-2000s sitcom, appears to have fallen on hard times. Fans across the country are expressing heartbreak and disbelief.
From Sitcom Fame to Real-Life Struggles
Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide aired from 2004 to 2007 and followed the hilarious middle-school adventures of Ned Bigby and his friends. Chase played Martin Qwerly, the talkative and quirky classmate who quickly became a fan favorite.
However, recent viral clips claim that Chase has been spotted living on the streets in California. Social media user @lethallalli posted videos showing the actor and shared that she recognized him instantly. “I showed him the post I made for him and he said that’s awesome! He said he’ll appreciate any help,” she wrote.

Fans Rally to Help
Moved by his situation, @lethallalli announced plans to launch a GoFundMe campaign to help the former child star. The fundraiser quickly gained traction, raising over $1,200 from fans hoping to help Chase get back on his feet.
A Twist in the Story
But soon, the story took an unexpected turn. Another TikTok user, @didyoucatchthis, posted screenshots claiming someone identifying herself as Chase’s mother had reached out to the influencer.
According to the messages, Chase’s mother said her son needed medical assistance, not financial aid.
“Yes, Tylor needs medical attention, not money,” the message read. “He loses phones, can’t manage money or his medications by himself.”
@lethallalli later agreed to stop the fundraiser and said she would hand the donations directly to Chase’s family. The alleged mother reportedly thanked her but warned that giving Chase money “could possibly hurt him.”

Public Reactions and Online Discovery
The situation deeply affected fans. “This breaks my heart,” one user wrote. “He was my first TV crush as a kid.” Another commented, “It’s devastating that this happens so often to people who just need proper support.”
Online users later uncovered a YouTube channel under Chase’s name featuring introspective videos about mental health and bipolar disorder. Titles included Bipolar Vlogs – The Absence of Color and So Be It, with one video describing feelings of fear and confusion.
A Broader Conversation
While details about Chase’s current condition remain unconfirmed, the viral story has reignited important discussions about mental health, former child stars, and life after fame.
As one fan summed it up:
“It’s just so sad to see someone who made us smile on TV struggling like this. I really hope he gets the help he needs.”
