Find out why tossing a water bottle under your hotel bed upon arrival is recommended.

Renting a room at a motel or hotel for an overnight stay during trips,‌

vacations, or work has become really common. One key thing to remember when you’re in ⁤new places‌ is safety.

Why should you toss a bottle of water under the bed right after you check into a ⁤hotel?

Right after checking in, it’s smart to do a careful check to prevent any unwanted surprises.

Usually, people look over the⁣ stuff in the room, bathroom and toilet to make ⁣sure they

have everything they need and see if there are any strange devices like hidden cameras.

But not everyone thinks about looking under‌ the bed, which can be risky ⁤for⁣ guests.

Esther, an experienced flight attendant from‌ KLM airline in Holland, says that every time

she checks into a hotel she throws ⁣a bottle of water under the bed just to ⁤be‍ safe.⁣

This helps her find out if someone is hiding there or if something seems off.

When you check into your motel or hotel‌ room, try tossing that water bottle under the bed as well!

Throw it hard from one ⁤side of the bed. If there are people or things down there, it won’t

roll out easily. In that case you ⁤can look yourself or ask someone else to help you check it out together‌ with staff.

If nothing’s blocking underneath then your water bottle will roll freely from one side to another! That way you’ll feel ‌more ⁤relaxed about how safe⁣ your room ‌is.

Bending down right away might catch you off guard and embarrass you if there’s someone hiding inside! On the other hand throwing that water bottle gives you time to ⁣get ‌ready. If anything seems weird you’ll be able to leave ‌quickly without having⁢ to crouch down first!

If you’re feeling uneasy or notice something odd in your room ‌just leave immediately and call for help from hotel security ⁢so ⁤they can do a full check on your space!

Also checking beneath the ⁢bed helps see how clean your room really is! This ⁢area might get missed by cleaning staff leading dirt and even trash ⁤build up over time. Guests often drop items or⁣ toss garbage under beds creating spots where mice⁤ and bugs could ‌thrive!

So looking under that bed when checking into motels & hotels will keep you ‌safer during your stay!
