The FBI has released final CCTV footage showing convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell door on the day he died in 2019.
The video comes amid official confirmation that the disgraced businessman did not keep a ‘client list’ and that he died by suicide.
Whilst awaiting a major trial at the 12-story Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan, Epstein was found unresponsive in his jail cell by guards on August 10, 2019.
In the last six years, conspiracy theories have flooded the internet, with some going as far as claiming the American financier did not kill himself.
Some claim he was silenced by officials to avoid incriminating a variety of A-list figures, with rumors of a special ‘client list’ having been circulating online for years.
However, in a memo first seen by Axios, the Justice Department and FBI have confirmed that they found no evidence of Epstein’s ‘client list’ that was apparently used to blackmail individuals.

“This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list’. There was also no evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions,” Donald Trump’s Justice Department and the FBI stated in the memo.
“We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
Moreover, around 11 hours of new CCTV footage captured in the correctional center has been shared.
The FBI and the DOJ claim that this mammoth recording proves Epstein was not murdered, Axios reported.
The footage has been taken from the camera positioned in front of Epstein’s cell door. It shows all movements between the night of August 9 and the early hours of August 10.
Epstein himself is also captured on the video being walked to his cell by prison guards on duty at 7:49pm on August 9.
Even though the door is not visible, the FBI and the DOJ have confirmed the footage doesn’t show anybody else crossing the space in front of Epstein’s door.
It’s therefore been concluded that the footage proves nobody murdered the incarcerated man, as the camera would’ve picked up on any suspicious movement.
Moreover, investigators said they’ve viewed a video from the Manhattan jail that supports a medical examiner’s finding that Epstein took his own life.
Despite the FBI ruling out third-party involvement, as well as the ‘client list’ and any blackmail allegations, Elon Musk isn’t convinced.

The 54-year-old took to social media after the memo was released and shared a graphic labeled: “The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter: 0 0 0 0.”
In the post’s caption, the Tesla CEO typed: “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again.”
Musk’s latest comments come just weeks after he claimed US President Trump was in the Epstein files.
After alleging that the 79-year-old’s presence in the files were the ‘real reason they have not been made public’, the SpaceX co-founder admitted he went ‘too far’ with some of his social media posts.
