Fans Surprised by Carley Shimkus’ Early Morning Schedule as a New Mom

Carley Shimkus, the well-known FOX News personality and co-host of Fox & Friends First, has given fans a glimpse into her early morning routine before heading on air and lifestyle tips.

At 37 years old, Shimkus follows a strict schedule, with her alarm set for 1:15 a.m. to prepare for the day ahead.

A devoted coffee enthusiast, she admits that her love for the caffeinated drink is so strong that she looks forward to her morning cup even before going to bed, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Beyond her career, Shimkus recently embraced motherhood, welcoming her son Brock with her husband, Peter Buchignani.

Reflecting on how quickly time is passing, she noted how much her baby has already changed in just a few months. “Even when I look back at pictures of him from four months ago – he’s changed so muchand he changed everything about us as well” she shared.

How Brock changed everything:

Known for her poise and professionalism on-screen, Carley revealed a side of herself fans rarely see—the vulnerable, deeply personal side that emerged after becoming a mother.

When her son Brock was born in February 2023, everything changed. Ambitions that once seemed non-negotiable took a backseat to something far more important—being present for her family.

Carley admitted that before motherhood, she often stayed up at night worrying about how she’d manage it all. The demands of a high-profile career, the responsibilities of marriage, and now the overwhelming joy—and challenge—of raising a child.

But in the midst of this chaos, she found clarity. Carley realized that success isn’t always about climbing higher—it’s sometimes about knowing when to pause. With the support of her husband, Peter Buchignani, and a trusted nanny, she learned to adjust her priorities and embrace the beautiful imperfection of family life.

“It’s a love I didn’t know I had in me,” she shared, describing the profound bond she feels with her son. That love reshaped her outlook, teaching her that stepping back isn’t a setback—it’s a powerful step forward when it means more time with the people who matter most.

Carley’s story is a reminder that behind every career woman is a heart full of love, sacrifice, and the courage to choose what truly lasts. And sometimes, the greatest wisdom comes when we finally learn to slow down.

Brock brings so much happiness

Carley Shimkus recently shared heartwarming family photos on Instagram from a visit with Santa. In a playful caption, she wrote, “Santa was not a hit but he recovered quickly and is definitely still on the nice list.”

One image showed Brock in tears on Santa’s lap as he read My First Night Before Christmas, while others captured his curiosity, including a sweet shot of him in a red Santa hat.

Fans flooded the comments, many noting Brock’s resemblance to his mother. “Your baby is beautiful just like you.” One wrote. Another added, “He just gets cuter and looks like his mom.”

Shimkus opened up about motherhood on Janice Dean’s podcast, describing it as a whirlwind and joking that Brock was already getting a political education and the reason why .

Beyond TV, Shimkus authored Cooking with Friends: Eat, Drink and Be Merry, featuring recipes from Fox News personalities.

She previously told The U.S. Sun she fell in love with Fox & Friends cooking segments in high school and enjoys indulging in the leftovers. “Janice and I are definitely big eaters,” she joked.

A broadcast journalism graduate, Shimkus appreciates how cooking segments add humor and fun to the news.

Carley Shimkus began her career at Fox News in 2009 as a production assistant for Fox Business Network.

Over the years, she has taken on various roles, including reporting for Fox News Headlines 24/7 and co-hosting on Fox Nation.
