Fans Adore Throwback Photo of Young Ainsley Earhardt as Fox & Friends Introduces New Co-Host

Ainsley Earhardt is stealing hearts all over again. This time thanks to a resurfaced throwback clip that left fans “obsessed.” The nostalgic moment, posted on Instagram, showed a young Ainsley from 2008, long before she became a household name on the Fox & Friends couch.

Earhardt joined Fox News in 2007 and has been co-hosting Fox & Friends since 2016, becoming one of the network’s most recognizable morning voices. The retro clip reminded fans just how far she’s come, with many flooding the comments to share their excitement.

One user wrote, “Obsessed! Well deserved my friend!” while another chimed in, “This is the best clip & best new co-host!!! So excited for you dad!”

The flood of love was a reminder of Ainsley’s staying power and how viewers have grown up right alongside her.

Griff Jenkins joins the weekend lineup

The walk down memory lane came as Fox News confirmed a new shake-up for its weekend schedule. Starting September 20, Griff Jenkins will officially join Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt as the third co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, airing every Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 10 a.m. ET.

Fox & Friends Weekend remains the top-rated program in its time slot, averaging 1.2 million viewers.

Jenkins isn’t exactly a newcomer. He’s been with Fox News since 2003, covering everything from wars in the Middle East to the southern border. Fans got a kick out of seeing his first fill-in co-hosting appearance from, you guessed it, 2008, the very same year as Ainsley’s throwback.

The Instagram caption teased: “WATCH: @GriffJenkins first co-hosted Fox & Friends in 2008! Catch his official debut as Fox & Friends Weekend co-host this Saturday.”

Fans show their support

The announcement drew an outpouring of positivity. “So happy for you @griffjenkins,” one fan commented. Another praised the decision: “Congrats!!! F&F needs to be fun again!”

One longtime viewer even recalled meeting Jenkins on the streets of Washington, D.C. years ago, calling him a “great guy and good choice.”

For his part, Jenkins reacted with gratitude, thanking a colleague on social media: “Thank you – such incredible kind words! I am humbled and grateful my friend! And GO DAWGS!!”

Weekend shake-up at Fox News

The refresh doesn’t stop there. Fox News Media president Jay Wallace announced a full weekend revamp earlier this month. Kayleigh McEnany will front her own new program, Saturday in America, airing Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon ET.

On Sundays, Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich will rotate as solo hosts of The Sunday Briefing at 11 a.m. ET. Meanwhile, longtime MediaBuzz host Howie Kurtz will step down from his show to move into a political media analyst role.

With Ainsley’s timeless throwback charm and Jenkins stepping into his new role, fans are more than ready for the next era of Fox & Friends Weekend.
