Emotional Hospital Video From Donny Osmond Leaves Fans Worried

Donny Osmond shared a video from a hospital bed this week, and fans are worried. In the clip, he’s seen wearing a hospital gown with tubes and a nasal cannula while staff prep him for a procedure.

He said he was under a light sedative and started singing while they worked on him. A voice in the room asked: “When are you going to start singing?” and that’s when Donny launched into “Let’s Get Down to Business” from Mulan.

He said: “I’m starting to get dizzy” right before falling asleep, then the video picks back up with him still singing after he wakes up. He captioned it: “What better way to power through a procedure than singing your alltime favorite rally song?! I’m feeling all better now!”

Fans flooded the post with messages of love and support. Some said it broke their hearts to see him like that, others were just glad he was okay.

Donny has had a long career and a few serious health issues along the way. He started performing before age six and has been in the spotlight ever since.

Years ago in Manchester, during what he called “crazy Osmondmania,” he almost lost an eye in a fan rush. He said: “I was walking into this hotel, and all these fans started rushing towards me. And one girl was just making a beeline.

“She had an autograph book in one hand and a pen in the other, and she gets to me and just wraps her arms around me as hard as she could, and the pen came around and hits me right [in the eye]. Almost took my eye out.”

In 2019, during his last Vegas show with Marie, he suddenly couldn’t feel his arms or legs. He told the outlet: “I didn’t tell anyone what was happening to me……I just kept dancing and finished the show.”

It turned out his spine had shifted, probably from injuries he got when he won Strictly Come Dancing in 2009. He had to have neck and back surgery, and for a minute, it looked like he was in the clear.

But then things got worse. He said: “I thought everything was going to be fine, but it couldn’t have been worse. I got a secondary infection which meant I wasn’t able to move.”

Recovery took months, and for a while he needed a walking stick to get around. He wasn’t sure if he’d walk again, but thankfully he pulled through.

Now he’s back in the hospital, but he’s keeping his spirits up and fans are clearly behind him. His comment section is full of prayers, encouragement, and a lot of people just relieved to see him smiling and singing again.
