Celebrity couples are not immune to the things that go on in the world around us. Things happen to them the same as they happen to everyone else but the difference is, the entire world is looking in their direction.

One celebrity couple who found out how much people were watching was Jennifer Garner and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. During the memorial service for Jennifer Garner’s father, William Jack Garner, something unexpected happened.

The 85-year-old father of Jennifer Garner passed away in April 2024. During the memorial, a daughter who is shared by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner made an unusual and unexpected announcement.

The daughter of the celebrity couple, Seraphina Rose, stood up in front of the audience and announced a new name. The event was streamed live on the Facebook page of a West Virginia church and the 15-year-old said: “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck.”

They then went on to recite a verse from the Bible, “Better is a little with righteousness, than a large income with injustice.”

Finn had a suit on along with a white shirt and black tie. They also had a short haircut, but this isn’t the first time we saw rumblings of this.

In February 2024, paparazzi took pictures of Finn carrying a backpack that had the new name stitched into it.

As you can imagine, this gender change reveal took the public by surprise and reactions began flooding in.

One comment said: “Ben Affleck’s young daughter just changed her name and is now identifying as trans. Jennifer Lopez’s daughter also recently came out as nonbinary.”

They also said that having an LGBT Q kid is ‘trendy in Hollywood’.

After Ben Affleck married Jennifer Lopez, the children, Fin and Emme became friends and seemed to hang out with each other. Emme goes by gender-neutral pronouns.
