Donny Osmond left fans both amused and concerned after posting a video of himself singing from a hospital bed. On July 9, 2025, the 67-year-old entertainer shared the clip on Instagram just as anesthesia began to kick in for an undisclosed medical procedure.
Despite feeling groggy, Osmond launched into a familiar tune — Disney’s “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan, a song he originally recorded as the singing voice for Captain Li Shang. His voice weakened as the anesthesia took effect, but he kept going. After the procedure, he resumed singing, determined to finish the number.
Health and Wellness Philosophy
Osmond, known for his clean lifestyle, continues to prioritize health as he ages. In 2023, he opened up about how his stage performances double as workouts. “I find it difficult to go to the gym when I work so hard on stage,” he said.
He follows a mostly vegan diet, occasionally enjoying cheese or a rare steak. “Moderation in everything,” he advised.
One major change? He and his wife, Debbie, have cut out refined sugar, opting for natural alternatives and skipping soda altogether.

Staying Grounded Through Kindness
When asked about aging gracefully, Osmond credited kindness, laughter, and optimism. “Start loving life,” he said. “An optimistic attitude can help keep you healthy.”
He praised Debbie for keeping him grounded. “She’s given my life stability,” he shared. The couple often turns down the chaos of the outside world to simply enjoy each other’s company.

Back to Vegas — With a Twist
Osmond is currently headlining a Las Vegas residency at Harrah’s, extended through November 2025. His show includes a high-tech twist — a 3D recreation of his 14-year-old self, brought to life using AI and original audio from the 1970s.
Together, the two versions of Donny perform a reimagined “Puppy Love”. Later, the real Donny closes each night with a Broadway-style performance of “I’ll Make a Man Out of You.”
