Trump’s Swift Remark Sparks Backlash
While addressing the press on April 28, President Donald Trump made a remark that stirred controversy. The Philadelphia Eagles had gathered at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory.
Celebrating a Win — and Causing a Stir
The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40–22 at the 2025 Super Bowl. Both Trump and singer Taylor Swift attended the game. On Monday, during the White House celebration, Trump delivered a speech.
Then came the comment.
“I was there along with Taylor Swift — how did that work out? How did that one work out?” he said.
Social Media Reacts Swiftly
Swift had attended the game to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. After Trump’s jab, fans flooded social media with reactions.
“Is this for real?” one user asked. Another added, “Bro’s too much.”
Many criticized Trump’s choice of words. One person noted, “Bad choice on his part… Taylor is loved and admired by all [sic].”
Not the First Controversial Moment
Earlier in April, Trump made headlines again — this time at UFC 314 in Miami. As he entered the arena with his grandchildren, the crowd erupted in chants of “USA.”
Excitement filled the venue. Trump shook hands and waved as he made his way to the front row.
A Notable Snub
There, he greeted U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with a handshake and hug. However, when Cheryl Hines, Kennedy’s wife, reached out, Trump looked past her and didn’t acknowledge her gesture.
Fans quickly took notice.
“Totally ignoring RFK’s wife,” one viewer commented. Another asked, “Why did he ignore the lady with JFK junior?”
Others noted how uncomfortable the moment seemed. “She looked like she was gonna cry,” someone remarked.

Hines’ Uneasy Balance
Despite this awkward encounter, Hines has tried to adapt to political life. In late 2024, she appeared at Mar-a-Lago on election night and mingled with guests at the America First Policy Institute gala.
A source observed, “Cheryl was talking to everyone, including Donald Trump. She seemed to be playing nice with MAGA world.”
This marked a shift.
Previously, Hines had admitted to struggling with her husband’s support for Trump. Kennedy described her discomfort as “the opposite of what she would want to do.” He added that she supported him out of love — not political agreement.
A Life Beyond Politics
Outside of politics, Hines is best known for her role in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which earned her two Emmy nominations. She and Kennedy wed in August 2014 at the Kennedy family compound in Massachusetts.
Originally planning a quiet courthouse wedding, they changed course after Ethel Kennedy asked, “Don’t you want to get married here so we can all be a part of it?”
A Wedding to Remember
The private ceremony was filled with charm. Hines wore a strapless, pearl-beaded Romona Keveza gown that echoed the elegance of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Adding to the spontaneous feel, Ethel’s dog wandered down the aisle ahead of the bride. The moment marked Hines’ formal entry into the Kennedy family.
A Decade of Devotion
In 2024, Hines celebrated ten years of marriage with a heartfelt tribute. She shared memories of dancing with her late niece and nephew and thanked her husband:
“You have given me a life I could’ve never imagined… In my darkest hours, you bring me light. I love you.”
In February 2025, she posted a Valentine’s photo with Kennedy, captioned simply: “Happy Valentine’s Day .”
Public Figure, Private Heart
Cheryl Hines continues to navigate public life with quiet strength. Though she once felt out of place in political circles, she now walks that path with grace.
As she and Kennedy mark a decade together, their story reflects love, loyalty, and life under the spotlight.
