While addressing the press on April 28, President Donald Trump made a remark that stirred controversy. The Philadelphia Eagles had gathered at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory.

The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40–22 at the 2025 Super Bowl. Both Trump and singer Taylor Swift attended the game. On Monday, during the White House celebration, Trump delivered a speech.
Then came the comment.
“I was there along with Taylor Swift — how did that work out? How did that one work out?” he said.
Social Media Reacts Swiftly
Swift had attended the game to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. After Trump’s jab, fans flooded social media with reactions.
“Is this for real?” one user asked. Another added, “Bro’s too much.”
Many criticized Trump’s choice of words. One person noted, “Bad choice on his part… Taylor is loved and admired by all [sic].”
Not the First Controversial Moment
Earlier in April, Trump made headlines again — this time at UFC 314 in Miami. As he entered the arena with his grandchildren, the crowd erupted in chants of “USA.”
Excitement filled the venue. Trump shook hands and waved as he made his way to the front row.

There, he greeted U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with a handshake and hug. However, when Cheryl Hines, Kennedy’s wife, reached out, Trump looked past her and didn’t acknowledge her gesture.
Fans quickly took notice.
