Donald Trump Slammed by Martina Navratilova, Who Says His US Open Actions Show Jealousy

Martina Navratilova Accuses Donald Trump of Jealousy at US Open

Trump Attends Historic Final

Donald Trump attended the US Open final as Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jannik Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to claim his sixth Grand Slam. The match lasted four sets after a 30-minute delay caused by heightened security for the president’s arrival.

When Trump entered Arthur Ashe Stadium, the crowd responded with both boos and applause. He became the first sitting U.S. president at the event since Bill Clinton in 2000.

MAGA Hats and Online Reactions

Footage of Trump signing red “Make America Great Again” hats also spread online. American diplomat Monica Crowley praised the moment, writing: “There will never be another like him.” Navratilova quickly replied: “Here is hoping.”

Sporting Events as a Platform

Trump has recently used major sporting events to boost his public image. In July, he appeared at Chelsea’s FIFA Club World Cup win over Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey. On that occasion, he joined players on the podium until FIFA president Gianni Infantino asked him to step aside.

With the U.S., Mexico, and Canada set to host the 2026 World Cup, Trump is expected to stay in the spotlight at future global sporting events.
