Donald Trump mocked after cameras reveal his phone lock screen

It’s been a rough week for Donald Trump — and the internet isn’t making it any easier.

The former president has long been mocked for his iconic hair and unmistakable orange glow, but now he’s getting dragged for something even more bizarre: his iPhone lock screen.

Of all the things to go viral this week… it’s Donald Trump’s phone lock screen. So, what does the former president have as his wallpaper? Hint: it’s very on brand.

The man who many claims is running the free world has a photo of himself as his lock screen. Not his kids. Not his wife. Just Trump — in all his glory, pointing dramatically toward the camera.

The moment went viral after sharp-eyed social media users spotted the screen as Trump stepped off Air Force One on May 30. A Reuters photo caught the exact moment, and online sleuths quickly zoomed in. The image? A solo Trump in his signature pose, a photo that traces back to 2019 during his first term.

Reactions online were immediate — and brutal.

“Trump’s lock screen was spotted on his phone last night—and it was a photo of himself. Is that not one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed things you’ve ever seen??? Not his family, not his kids, but himself. Wtf…,” one user wrote.

“Trump having a photo of himself on his lock screen is the Trumpiest thing ever,” another said.

“Trump actually has his own image as his phone’s screen saver. What a narcissistic pathetic loser. Says so much,” a third weighed in.

The account Republicans Against Trump also had plenty to say:

“Donald Trump’s iPhone lock screen was spotted over the weekend. Yep, it’s a photo of himself. Of course it is.”

Elon Musk’s fury

While the lock screen moment might be a silly distraction, it comes at a time when Trump is already facing serious political heat — and even his former tech-world ally Elon Musk is turning up the pressure.

Musk, once seen as a powerful behind-the-scenes Trump supporter, unloaded on the president after Trump’s massive $4 trillion debt limit bill passed the House.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote on June 3 on X.

“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Musk didn’t stop there — he threatened to “fire” anyone who backed the bill and called it a national disgrace. For Trump, it marked one of the loudest rebukes yet from a former ally with serious influence.

Amid the backlash, the image of Trump proudly sporting his own face as his wallpaper has become the perfect symbol of the week’s chaos — and maybe even of the man himself.

As one user on X put it best:

“The most on-brand thing that ever on-branded. Trump’s lock screen is, of course, a picture of Trump.”
