Despite having millions, 41-year-old Carrie Underwood maintains a simple lifestyle.

Carrie Underwood: Millionaire, but Grounded

Yet the Grammy winner keeps her life surprisingly simple.

Sharing sons Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5, with husband Mike Fisher, she focuses on active, family-centered living. Whether taking walks or playing with her kids, Underwood prioritizes experiences over extravagance.

Money-Saving Hacks at Home

Despite her fame and fortune, Underwood keeps a keen eye on spending. Recently, she revealed a clever money-saving trick on Instagram.

She and her family enjoy TruFru—chocolate-covered, freeze-dried fruit—but found it expensive. So Underwood started making her own. “The TruFru addiction has gotten out of hand at our house. It’s so dang expensive, so I started making my own,” she admitted.

Passion for Homegrown Living

Underwood’s frugality extends beyond snacks. On her 400-acre Tennessee ranch, she grows produce, pickles, preserves, and even makes yogurt.

Despite a hectic schedule, including her Las Vegas residency, she cherishes home life. “My least favorite part of touring is being away from home,” she told fellow country star Jimmie Allen. “I’m such a homebody. I don’t like vacations or traveling. I want to be at home.”

DIY Glam for Concerts

Underwood also styles herself for concerts and events. Unlike many stars who hire glam squads, she does her own hair and makeup.

“I know what works for me,” she explained. “I enjoy the process and the sense of control it gives me.” Even with wealth, she values independence and practicality.

A Balanced Life with Mike Fisher

At home, Underwood enjoys calm, while her husband, retired NHL player Mike Fisher, thrives socially. “I would literally never leave my house,” she admitted on Today’s Country Radio. “He’s got a million friends, and we’re always hanging out. We balance each other out.”

Despite their differences, the couple has found harmony. Underwood keeps the family grounded, while Fisher nudges her outside her comfort zone, creating a balanced, supportive partnership.

Living Simply Amid Success

Carrie Underwood proves you can amass wealth without losing touch with life’s simple joys. From homegrown food to family time, DIY glam, and frugal habits, she embodies grounded living while thriving in fame.
