Demi Moore Honors Career and Updates Fans on Bruce Willis’ Health
During the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on October 13, Demi Moore accepted the Career Achievement in Acting Award. She took a heartfelt moment to share an update on her ex-husband, Bruce Willis.
Bruce Willis’ Health Status
Moore revealed that Willis, 69, remains stable as he battles frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a degenerative brain disease diagnosed after an earlier diagnosis of aphasia. She spoke openly about living with such a challenge in the family.
“The disease is what the disease is, and you have to deeply accept that,” Moore said. She added that while the situation is difficult, there is beauty in focusing on the present and cherishing the time they still have together.
A Personal Visit
Moore shared a touching personal moment. She recently visited Willis with her granddaughter Louetta, Rumer Willis’ daughter. That visit reminded her of the importance of presence and savoring small moments.
“Being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it,” Moore reflected.
A Bond Beyond Marriage
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis divorced in 2000 but have remained close. They share three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—and Moore continues to support Willis and his family as they navigate his illness together. Their enduring bond reflects mutual respect and deep connection that goes beyond their marriage.
Gratitude for a Lifetime of Work
While accepting her award, Moore reflected on her Hollywood career. “It feels like lifetimes,” she said. “Thank God I kept getting opportunities to get better.”
Her words served as a reminder of resilience, not only in her professional life but also in how she faces personal challenges with grace and strength.
