President Trump called the appointment “great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice,” describing Bongino as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country.” He highlighted Bongino’s experience as a former NYPD officer, a Secret Service agent, and “one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country.”

Trump praised Bongino’s dedication and his willingness to leave his media career behind to serve in the role. Bongino will work alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.

In the post, President Trump expressed confidence in their leadership, stating that “Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly.”

The appointment sparked an immediate response from Bongino’s wife, Paula. She took to social media to express her pride, sharing a screenshot of Trump’s post. Her message was a brief heartfelt caption, “I am so proud of this man.”

In 2006, he joined the elite Presidential Protection Division, serving under both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama. He later transferred to Baltimore before leaving the Secret Service in 2011.

Following his appointment as FBI deputy director, Bongino shared an emotional video reflecting on his journey. He expressed deep gratitude to his wife, Paula, recalling the early days of his podcast. He described how they started “in a basement,” with Paula editing show clips before it became a leading livestream, podcast, and radio show.
