People are capable of great transformation in their lives. As we learn and grow, we develop psychologically and spiritually. Yet, the most noticeable change we undergo is in the physical form. One couple posted a photo of their 10-year transformation. Their remarkable differences in appearance have captivated the internet and have made their way into a viral phenomenon – much to the couple’s bafflement.
From 2010 to 2017
Wendy Joseph and her now husband Dan Hennessey first started dating in 2007. They are from New Jersey, but they later moved to San Diego. Currently, they live in Costa Rica. If you were to scroll through their Instagram page you would find a plethora of images showing off gym-toned bodies. However, this was not always the case for Wendy and Dan.
In 2017 they posted a set of images that compared them from 2010 to 2017. The 10-year differences showcased a brilliant transformation on both their parts. If you had seen them before 2017, you might never have thought they were the same people.
Wendy captioned the post: “10-year difference! Left 2007, right 2017. I used to have a perm and wear my hair stuck to my face every day and @shotsofhennessey [Dan Hennessey] used to shave once a week!”
In the more recent picture, you can see that Wendy’s hair is styled beautifully in an updo. She has since stopped using chemicals to straighten her hair and is embracing her natural beauty. Dan had gone from a weekly shave to maintaining a styled beard.
Comments from their admirers
Many Instagram users were buzzed over their transformation. Their post gained over 60,000 likes. The comments were very supportive. They did say the couple was beautiful before the change. However, they praised the work they had put into their toned bodies.
One person accused them of aging in a Benjamin Button style, claiming they seem to have aged backward. They said: “Did you both age in reverse?? What fountain of youth are you drinking from??” another comment attested that their graceful aging is due to the decade they were born in. “This is proof that 90s kids are aging well,” they wrote.
Another person also thinks they appear to look younger. They commented: “wow you look younger!” Meanwhile, another person praised Wendy’s hair. “You guys have gotten more beautiful. [Wendy] I love your hair,” they wrote.

The couple got engaged in Paris. Together they work as personal trainers, and health coaches as part of their own company called True4You Fitness. They run a YouTube channel together where they share tips and tricks on how to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. Their approach is more long-term, aiming for health improvements. Unlike the popular fast results that many trainers market for these days.
Dan has been working in the fitness industry for over a decade having a nutrition certificate in Precise Nutrition as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Wendy has a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
In their posts, Wendy has described. How Dan has helped her improve her body image. She admits that she has not always appreciated her appearance the way she does now.
