Charlie Kirk and his wife being “Transvestigated” – Here’s what it means

Just when you thought the whole tragic saga involving Charlie Kirk couldn’t get any more mysterious, it’s now being reported that the late political commentator and his wife, Erika Kirk, are being ‘transvestigated’.

I’m almost certain you’ll be equally clueless as to what that term means as I was before I did some digging, but fear not, I’ll return to it shortly.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk was an event that shocked not just the US but the entire world. Kirk, 31, was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10 when he was shot through the neck with a bullet fired from a nearby rooftop.

A high-profile and ludicrously captivating manhunt was immediately launched to find Kirk’s killer. Authorities later named 22-year-old Tyler Robison as the suspected shooter, yet though he faces an aggravated murder charge, alongside accusations which include witness tampering, obstruction of justice, conspiracy theories relating to Kirk and his sudden, shocking demise have been rampant.

Perhaps it should come as no surprise that said conspiracies have enveloped Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow and the mother of his two children. In the immediate aftermath of her husband’s death, Erika found herself thrust into the spotlight, a pawn of propaganda wielded by the right side of American politics, for whom Charlie was a distinguished rising star.

Erika has since taken over leadership of Turning Point USA, the conservative organization co-founded by her late husband, while she’s become a prominent figure in her own right through a raft of public appearances over the past two months.

Given the intense interest in Charlie’s assassination, Erika stepping in to fill the void was always going to generate speculation of its own. Take, for example, the wholly unfounded (and rather outraegous) rumors that she and Vice President JD Vance are romantically linked. Or the idea that Erika is part of a hidden agenda concealed by powerful institutions, and that the slaying of Charlie was an event put into motion by hidden hands.

Far-fetched as those ideas are (and they most certainly are) they pale in comparison to an idea put forward by a Facebook group boasting more than 50,000 followers named “Transvestigation Disclosure NOW.”

So, now that we can circle back to the topic I mentioned at the beginning of this article, it’s time for us to delve a little deeper. In short, “transvestigating” refers to an online conspiracy movement where individuals (we’re guessing with too much time of their hands) attempt to expose celebrities, politicians and other high-profile people as being transgender.

Well-known targets in the past have included singer Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, Serena Williams, and Beyonce.

And now Erika Kirk, with proponents of the idea in question suggesting that photos of the Erika from back when she was a beauty pageant contestant serve as proof that she is secretly transgender.

The claims in question focus on her jawline, body shape, and collar bone structure – in effect offering no evidence whatsoever beyond the peculiar idea that she looked ‘manly’.

“That is a man, as most pageant winners are,” one commenter wrote.

“Of course almost all models, especially agent models and Victoria secret models are mostly [trans women],” penned another.

A third chimed: “Yup that’s why Charlie Kirk seemed so feminine and emasculated because she was a transgender handler.

“That’s why he was so pretty.”

As per reports, “transvestigating” first appeared in early 2017, spreading across YouTube before migrating to other platforms, helped in no small part by the growing anti-trans rhetoric.

It seems to be the case that virtually anyone can become a target, since the burden of proof is so ridiculously low. Erika Kirk is the latest victim to find herself being called out, but she certainly won’t be the last.
