Matthew Whelan, also called the “King of Inkland King Body Art,” is more than just a body artist. He embraces various forms of body modification, sharing with his followers that he is known for altering his body in unique ways.

Health Risks of Body Modifications

Despite his passion for body art, Whelan acknowledges the health risks associated with his modifications. He explains that his transdermal implants can sometimes bleed or become inflamed, though he doesn’t view this as an infection. Instead, he believes it’s simply part of his body’s healing process as it adjusts to the implants.

Embracing Unique Modifications

In addition to his tattoos, Whelan has also made other notable modifications, including eye coloring, ear alterations, and even changing his legal name to “King Of Inkland King Body Art.”

Recently, Whelan shared throwback photos on Instagram that have sparked a lot of buzz among tattoo enthusiasts. One photo shows him flexing his muscles with the caption, “This is a throwback to when I only had one tattoo.” He reflects on being in better physical shape at the time, joking that he might have joined the wrestling team if it existed at his school.

A Glimpse Into His Past

Another photo reveals Whelan from his younger years, with the caption: “Who is this?” He mentions that it was taken in Cyprus around 1998 or 1999, before his tattoo journey fully began. Whelan hints that he had already started his tattoo journey by this time.

These throwback photos show just how much Whelan’s appearance has evolved over the years, and they continue to intrigue his followers.
