Joel shared the news on Friday via a statement posted to his social media accounts. The diagnosis comes after weeks of worsening health problems that affected his performance.
Recent concerts, according to the statement, only made things worse. They intensified symptoms linked to the condition, including issues with hearing, vision, and balance.

Currently in treatment, Joel is now following medical advice to step away from the stage.
“Billy is undergoing physical therapy and has been advised to stop performing during recovery,” the statement read.

What Is NPH?
Normal pressure hydrocephalus causes cerebrospinal fluid to build up in the brain, increasing pressure in the skull. Though it mainly affects people over 65, it’s often treatable — and sometimes reversible.
