Arnold Schwarzenegger suggests that paradise is a “dream.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Opens Up in “Arnold”

Insight into Paradise and Death
Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger shares his unique perspective on paradise and death in his new Netflix docuseries titled Arnold. This three-part series premiered recently and delves into his personal struggles and reflections.

A Provocative Interview
During a lengthy interview, actor Danny DeVito asked Schwarzenegger about the future. In response, Schwarzenegger reflected on the concept of life after death. He noted, “The question Howard Harsh asked me resonates. I didn’t respond to the governor’s request about what happens after we die. Six feet under—that’s the reality. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying.”

Understanding Life and Death
Schwarzenegger continued, “We don’t know what happens to the soul, but the physical body we see now will never be the same again.” While he admits that discussing death is unsettling, he expresses a belief that paradise is merely a “dream.”

Comfort in a Harsh Reality
He explained, “It sounds wonderful when people say, ‘I’ll see them again in paradise.’ However, the truth is, once we die, we won’t encounter each other again. That’s the sad reality. Some find comfort in death, but I don’t.”

Changing Views on Paradise
Schwarzenegger has lost “15 friends over the last 20 years” from the bodybuilding community, which has shifted his understanding of paradise. He describes it as a place where he holds memories of loved ones who made a significant impact on his life. “I keep them in a special place, like the front row of friends,” he said. “You always feel happy when you think of them.”

Personal Struggles and Achievements
The new docuseries not only showcases Schwarzenegger’s triumphs but also addresses his personal battles. According to the production company, Arnold chronicles his journey from Austria to achieving the American Dream. The series features interviews with Schwarzenegger, as well as insights from friends, foes, co-stars, and observers.
