Armed Woman Who Rammed ICE Vehicles Near Chicago Arrested

Newly released video shows a woman ramming a vehicle carrying federal agents in Chicago on Saturday, according to law enforcement officials. The woman, identified as Marimar Martinez, was armed and was shot by officers during the incident. She later drove herself to a hospital, was treated for her injuries, and was arrested after being discharged. She is currently in FBI custody.

Authorities said another individual, Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, who was driving a separate vehicle involved in the ramming, was also apprehended.

The confrontation occurred Saturday morning near the intersection of 39th Place and South Kedzie Avenue, when Border Patrol officers were reportedly ambushed by individuals who used their vehicles to trap the agents’ car. After the officers exited their vehicle, one suspect allegedly attempted to strike them with her car, prompting the use of force.

Officials said Martinez was carrying a semi-automatic weapon and has previously been accused of publishing personal information about federal agents online.

The situation escalated as additional people gathered at the scene, throwing smoke canisters, rocks, gas, and bottles, according to authorities. Authorities said another suspect was taken into custody for allegedly assaulting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the scene.

As Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel responded to the earlier shooting, a separate individual reportedly followed and rammed their vehicle in an apparent attempt to force it off the road. That person was arrested and is now in the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Officials said one ICE vehicle sustained a flat tire and was surrounded by an aggressive crowd, forcing officers to abandon it for safety reasons. The vehicle was later recovered and found to be heavily damaged.

Several CBP officers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin called on people to stop attacking law enforcement officers, though no doubt her message was also subtly aimed at Democrats for inciting these lunatics.

“These attacks on our brave law enforcement officers must END. Secretary Noem has taken action to deploy additional resources to restore law and order. We will not allow domestic terrorists to attack our law enforcement. If you law a hand on law enforcement, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” she said.

McLaughlin added that Martinez has been named in a Border Patrol bulletin for doxxing agents and threatening them. “The armed woman was named in a @CBPintelligence bulletin last week for doxing agents and posting online ‘Hey to all my gang let’s fuck those mother fuckers up, don’t let them take anyone.’ No law enforcement officers were seriously injured in this attack.”

Meanwhile, Illinois J.B. Pritzker, one of the worst of the Democrat inciters, called the ambush “propaganda” in a CNN interview (and was never challenged for his lie because…CNN). He also blamed ICE agents for being ICE agents and doing the jobs they were hired to do (enforcing immigration laws passed by Congress, by the way).

“They are the ones that are making it a war zone,” Pritzker said. “They need to get out of Chicago if they’re not going to focus on the worst of the worst, which is what the president said they were going to do,” Pritzker said on CNN.

Noem slammed Pritzker in a Fox News interview. “Sanctuary politicians like @JBPritzker have not only turned over their states to violent illegal aliens, they are also actively working against law enforcement in support of lawless anarchists. DHS under President Trump is deploying a whole-of-government approach to restore law and order in America’s cities,” she said:

Democrats are 100 percent responsible for these attacks and for all of the violence directed against federal officers. Trump Derangement Syndrome is real.
