A man traveling from Indiana was shot by U.S. Secret Service agents near the White House after an armed confrontation. The incident occurred around midnight, one block away from the White House. No one else was injured.

Authorities had been alerted about a potentially suicidal individual from Indiana. Upon locating the suspect’s vehicle, officers found a person matching the description. When the man brandished a firearm, Secret Service agents fired shots. The man was hospitalized, though his condition is unknown. President Trump was in Florida at the time.
