The couple married soon after. However, they divorced in August 2006, citing irreconcilable differences. Even so, they shared joint custody and remained committed to raising Sienna together.

A Second Marriage and a Growing Family
Years later, Ribeiro found love again. In 2012, he proposed to Angela Unkrich at Lake Tahoe, surrounded by close friends—and Sienna.

Ava Sue Ribeiro made her entrance on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2019. Alfonso joked that she sent Angela to the hospital on the holiday itself.
The youngest Ribeiro quickly made her mark. Ava blends toughness with tenderness. She loves sharks, roller coasters, and performing for any audience.
Angela describes her as imaginative, articulate, and wise beyond her years. Her giggle, she says, is impossible to resist. Her spirit animal? A unicorn—and it fits perfectly.
