A Joyful Moment Before Goodbye
Just days before his passing, Ozzy Osbourne was seen smiling and joking in a heartwarming video shared by his family. The clip captured one of the rock icon’s final public appearances—a lighthearted moment that now carries deeper meaning.
Surrounded by Love in His Final Hours
Ozzy died at the age of 76 at his estate in the UK. According to a family statement released on July 22, he was “surrounded by family and bathed in love.” His passing came only 17 days after he performed a reunion show with Black Sabbath—his first in two decades.
Battling Health Issues with Spirit Intact
In recent years, Ozzy faced several serious health problems, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2019. While the cause of his death has not been confirmed, concerns about his health had been mounting.
Despite it all, he remained upbeat. A video filmed on July 9 shows him laughing and beaming during a private family gathering.
A Touching Proposal, a Father’s Joke
The clip, shared on TikTok by daughter Kelly Osbourne, captures a special moment. Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, her partner, proposed in front of family and friends.
As Wilson began, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world…” Ozzy couldn’t resist. Grinning, he interrupted: “F**k off, you’re not marrying my daughter.”
Laughter erupted. Kelly giggled. Wilson pressed on: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends… Kelly, will you marry me?”
As he slipped the ring on her finger, Ozzy looked on proudly—his face glowing with love and joy.
A Family’s Farewell
In their heartfelt statement, the Osbourne family wrote:
“It is with more sadness than words can express that we announce the passing of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask for privacy as we grieve.”
The Prince of Darkness Leaves a Bright Legacy
Ozzy Osbourne first rose to fame as the frontman of Black Sabbath. The band helped define heavy metal in the late 1960s and ’70s. Known for his haunting vocals and outrageous stage antics—including the infamous bat-biting incident—Ozzy became known as the “Prince of Darkness.”
Yet another side of him emerged during the early 2000s. MTV’s The Osbournes revealed a softer, more humorous Ozzy as he starred alongside wife Sharon and children Kelly and Jack. He won the hearts of a new generation through laughter, love, and chaos.
More Than Music
Ozzy leaves behind more than a trailblazing music career. He leaves a legacy of family, humor, and unforgettable moments—like the one where he laughed, joked, and watched his daughter get engaged.
A true rock legend. A loving father. A life lived out loud.
