A Life-Changing Surprise
Every birth is a miracle. But some are even more extraordinary.
Bethani and Tim Webb, from Hythe, Alberta, always dreamed of starting a family. Just three months after marrying in June 2015, they learned they were expecting.
The Ultrasound That Changed Everything
During a routine ultrasound, the nurse suddenly paused. What she saw shocked everyone—Bethani was carrying four identical girls.
“I thought the ultrasound tech was joking,” Bethani told CBS News. “I couldn’t believe it.”
The odds? Only 1 in 15 million.
Four Tiny Miracles
Bethani delivered the quadruplets via C-section at 33 weeks in June 2016. All four daughters—Abigail, McKayla, Grace, and Emily—were born healthy.
Remarkably, the couple had no family history of multiples, and the pregnancy happened naturally—not through fertility treatments.
Challenges of Quadruple Parenthood
Raising one newborn is tough. Raising four? It’s a whirlwind.
The couple struggled to tell their identical girls apart, so they painted their toenails in different colors to help.
Each day, the babies went through 48 diapers, creating a need for serious multitasking and organization.
Support From the Community
The Webbs leaned on their community for support.
Generous neighbors donated diapers, time, and even helped them purchase a larger car.
“We couldn’t do this on our own,” Bethani admitted. Volunteers also visit weekly to lend a hand.
A Grateful Heart
Today, the family lives with Tim’s mom, who delights in helping with her grandchildren.
Despite the challenges, Bethani and Tim feel incredibly blessed. Their story is a beautiful reminder:
Even the most unexpected surprises can bring the greatest joy.
