Pink Shares New Year’s Eve Update From Hospital
Singer-songwriter Pink—real name Alecia Beth Moore—greeted fans on New Year’s Eve from her hospital room. On January 1, the 46-year-old posted a photo on Instagram showing herself in a patient gown with a large bandage across her neck. The post quickly went viral, receiving nearly half a million likes.
Facing Health Challenges Head-On
In her caption, Pink shared a positive health update. She revealed she spent New Year’s Eve alone in the hospital while her family—husband Carey Hart and children Willow Sage Hart and Jameson Moon Hart—were on a snowboarding trip.
Pink explained that she was not undergoing cosmetic procedures but needed neck surgery. “It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck,” she wrote. She described her new scar as a reminder that her body is a vessel, adding with humor, “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport.”
Reflecting on the Past Year
Pink also reflected on 2025, calling it “a doozy for all” with moments ranging from devastating to mildly annoying. Despite the challenges, she found joy in her family and cherished the people she welcomed into her life.
“I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,” Pink wrote. She encouraged fans to focus on positivity in 2026: “I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones.”
Pink’s Ongoing Health Battles
Pink has faced persistent health issues over the past few years. In September 2025, she shared on Instagram that she contracted an E. coli infection while on vacation and required IV treatment.
In July 2024, she canceled a concert in Bern, Switzerland, following doctors’ advice. Later in October, she postponed four Summer Carnivale shows across the U.S., which were ultimately canceled in November. Pink explained, “I couldn’t lift my right arm anymore, I couldn’t sleep, and I needed to figure it out. Cortisone can only take you so far.”
Moving Forward With Strength
Despite the setbacks, Pink remained positive and focused on healing and family. She used her Instagram post to remind fans to care for themselves and embrace gratitude, even in tough times.
“Happy New Year, and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred,” she wrote.
