Princess Charlotte was on a mission to spread a little Christmas cheer.
After the royal family’s annual holiday service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, the 10-year-old noticed that people gathered outside were hoping for photos — so she happily paused to take a few selfies with fans.
Meanwhile, her dad, Prince William, didn’t have many Christmas wishes of his own this year. According to E! News, all he really wanted at that moment was for his daughter to catch up with the rest of the family.
In a video shared by Hello! Magazine on Dec. 25, Prince William could be heard gently calling out, “Charlotte,” prompting his daughter to reply politely, “I’m coming.”
Before heading back to join the rest of the family — including mom Kate Middleton and her brothers Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7 — Princess Charlotte paused a moment longer. Well-wishers were delighted as she took a quick selfie with them before hurrying to catch up.
In a fan-shared TikTok video posted Dec. 25, a woman asked Princess Charlotte if she was allowed to take a selfie — and the young royal politely answered, “Yes.” Wanting to be sure she was following royal rules, the fan clarified, “Are you able to take it, or are you not allowed?” The moment seemed to be perfectly fine, as the video then cut straight to the completed selfie.
For the Christmas outing, Charlotte wore a camel-colored coat with black tights, flats, and a matching hair bow. Her polished look matched the rest of the family’s holiday style — Kate Middleton wore a plaid trench coat with a statement headpiece, while Prince William paired a black suit with a coordinating overcoat, twinning with sons Prince George and Prince Louis.
The family was joined by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Princess Eugenie, and other relatives. Beyond the festive walkabout, the royals have also been sharing holiday goodwill. Recently, William and George volunteered at The Passage — a homeless charity closely connected to the late Princess Diana — and marked the moment on Instagram, writing that it was “Christmas at The Passage — 32 years apart.”
