Viewers of Fox & Friends got more than just headlines this week when Ainsley Earhardt and Lawrence Jones took a detour from news into dating disaster territory, live, on air.
What started as a light tease turned into a full-blown oversharing session, complete with eyebrow-raising details and laugh-out-loud reactions from their cohosts.

It all began when Earhardt playfully called out her cohost.

Jones recalled going on a date with a woman who was anything but low-maintenance.
“She orders four appetizers on a date,” he said. “And she’s wasteful. She doesn’t even eat it all.”
He added that the woman made a point about being “so independent,” but didn’t even make a move toward the check.
“I always take the bill, but I wanted to see her reach for it… She didn’t.”
“Two negatives,” Kilmeade chimed in.
Things only got worse from there.
“She goes, ‘You know, my car is on,’” Jones continued. “I said, ‘OK, I’ll follow you to the gas [station],’ and she wanted me to fill her up.”
Earhardt, stunned, asked the obvious:
“She said, ‘You get out and pump it and pay for it?’”
“That’s right,” Jones confirmed.
But he drew the line somewhere.
“No, I didn’t. I pumped it, but I wasn’t paying for that.”
Live Laughter and a Surprise Punchline
The cohosts were in disbelief, with Brian Kilmeade joking, “That is the worst date ever.”
The hosts joked the woman might even be watching.
“She’s probably listening right now,” Kilmeade said.
Earhardt played along:
“Oh my gosh, that was me,” she said, impersonating the woman.
“That is the worst date ever,” she repeated, cracking up.
