Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex having shared their 2025 Christmas card four days ago, some royal fans are still hung up over one detail.
In fact, a number have seemingly convinced themselves that the couple are guilty of a minor Photoshop blunder, which has gone unnoticed by the vast majority of viewers.
For those who missed it, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – who have released an annual Christmas card every year since their 2018 wedding – opted to shake things up this year in two ways.
Firstly, they decided to share a video to commemorate the last 12 months, rather than a single image, with a compilation of footage on their charity Archewell’s website showing the couple undertaking humanitarian work.
The festive video also included the couple’s children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, preparing meals for their local community as part of Archewell’s partnership with Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA).
Along with the video, the royals shared a sweet message, writing: “On behalf of the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Archewell, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”
The second way by which they changed up their holiday greeting was to share a second card – a never-before-seen image of the foursome – which was shared on 44-year-old Meghan’s Instagram.
The picture in question shows the former Suits actress alongside Harry and their children, standing on a bridge surrounded by vast green wilderness.
Harry is seen looking down lovingly at his son, who, in turn, has his arms wrapped around him, whilst Meghan and her daughter pose behind them, their foreheads touching.

“Happy Holidays! From our family to yours,” Meghan captioned the surprise snap.
As we say, however, one aspect of the sweet snap has sparked curiosity amongst viewers, as the image appears to have been slightly touched up using an editing app.
We are, of course, referring to the slight, subtle smudge that appears above Prince Harry’s head, as well as the chunk of the 41-year-old’s lid that appears to be missing.
Having clocked on to the same thing, one Reddit user wrote: “What happened with the editing? The back of Harry’s head is missing above the hairline.”

Another suggested: “Looks like they used the stamp tool in photoshop. The chunk of head floating above his head when you zoom in.”
“It looks like the tree branch is coming out of his head lol,” a third joked, however, whilst a fourth said: “‘That would be a leaf in the foreground…”
In response to their theory, a fifth hit back: “I don’t think it is. There is what appears to be a near perfect circle smudge that looks like someone was using the cloning tool in Photoshop.”
This wouldn’t be the first Photoshop accusation levelled at the couple; earlier this year, Meghan was accused of editing a photo of her and Prince Harry in a post celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary.
